Johnson left Milwaukee in 1995 to work for WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, where he anchored the Nightly Sports and covered the Steelers in the 1996 Super Bowl. Mark was granted the opportunity to return to his favorite place on Earth in the spring of 1996, and he served as KTVB’s Sports Director until December 2003, when he was appointed as the station’s primary anchor.

Throughout his successful career, he has served as the face of Idaho news on KTVB’s top-rated evening and late newscasts, as well as an advocate for several community charitable organizations. He’s covered a Super Bowl, a World Series, Fiesta Bowls, NCAA basketball tournaments, and five Olympic games, earning a national Edward R.
