An Orange County, United States native, Kacey Montoya is a journalist, news anchor, and award-winning reporter who works at KTLA. She is married to her husband Matt Brade. She is a California State University graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism.

Montoya was born on June 4, 1981, She has three sisters and three brothers in the United States. Montoya is a proud graduate of California State University and holds a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism.

Since joining KTLA in 2013, Kacey Montoya, an Emmy Award-winning reporter and weathercaster, brought a wealth of experience from her roles at CBS affiliates in Portland, Palm Springs, and West Virginia. Raised in Dallas, her love for the Cowboys runs deep, although she was born in Orange County. At California State University, Northridge, her dedication to broadcast journalism earned her accolades, notably for her politically driven talk show.

Numerous honors, including L.A. Press Club Awards, a Golden Mike, and additional Emmy recognition have marked her career at KTLA. Currently part of KTLA’s Weekend Morning News, she spearheads ‘Kacey’s Cause: 4 Paws,’ a segment devoted to aiding local rescues in finding homes for pets.

Beyond her reporting, Kacey’s passion extends to philanthropy. In 2017, she founded Fix’n Fidos, a nonprofit that curated the pet population by funding spay/neuter surgeries for low-income Southern California residents. The organization also assists pet owners in covering unexpected vet bills, preventing the heartbreaking scenario of surrendering beloved pets to shelters due to unaffordable medical care.

She is married to her loving husband, Matt Brade. He is a journalist, news reporter, and chief meteorologist who works at KVOA-TV.
