Ryan Field is an American news sportscaster currently working for WABC News as a sports anchor. He also worked for FOX Sports News before becoming an anchor for ABC News.

Ryan was born in 1976 in Newark, New Jersey, United States. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism degree in journalism from Michigan State University. Ryan anchors Eyewitness News Weeknight and Saturday 6 pm and 11 pm Morning Newscasts. Previously, he worked as a sports anchor and radio host at FOX Sports News.

During this time, Field made several appearances on programs such as MLB Whiparound, Fox Sports Live, and Inside the Big East. He also co-hosted sports talk radio show on Fox Sports Radio from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. newscasts ET. Initially, he joined the Fox Sports 1 Channel as an anchor and studio host.

Most noteworthy, Ryan has also worked on Fox Sports Detroit (FSD) covering the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Red Wings. Before this, he worked as the weekend sports anchor and sports director at WSYM in Lansing.

Furthermore, Field was hired by WJBK as the station’s sports reporter in Detroit. While there, he often provided sports updates on WDFN Radio. He has also worked for WDBM Radio as a reporter and sports talk show host.

Ryan is married to his loving wife, Jennifer Field. In their marriage, the couple has been blessed with a wonderful son named Michael.
