Cris Martinez Biography and Wiki

Cris Martinez is an American Broadcast Meteorologist currently working for WPBF 25 News as a First Warning Meteorologist. He forecasts the weather on weekdays at Noon at 6 pm, and across WPBF 25’s digital platforms.

Martinez began his career in Corpus Christi, Texas right after graduating from college. He joined KAVU-TV in Victoria as the co-anchor and morning show meteorologist. He also worked as a weekend meteorologist for KENS 5 in San Antonio and KIAH in Houston.

Cris then joined WOFL-TV in Orlando, Central Florida as the morning meteorologist and traffic anchor. He was also the  Severe Weather Meteorologist in Atlanta at WGCL. Martinez won the Associated Press award for Best Weather Reporting for his coverage of Hurricane Isaac.

Cris joined WPBF 25 as a First Warning Meteorologist. He forecasts the weather on weekdays at Noon at 6 pm, and across WPBF 25’s digital platforms. He won the Certified Broadcast Meteorology (CBM) Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.
