Shannon Handy is an American news journalist currently working as a TV Reporter at CBS 8 in San Diego. Handy previously worked at NBC 7/39 as a video editor and sports producer before joining CBS.

Handy began her journalism career at NBC7/39 as a sports producer and video editor. She then joined KRCR-TV in California as a reporter. In 2008, she joined KFSN-TV  in Fresno, CA as a general assignment reporter.

She covered major stories such as the 2010 San Bruno, California pipeline explosion. Shannon joined KMFB CBS in July 2012. She works as the general assignment reporter alongside the other the CBS News 8 team.
