Ree Drummond is an American blogger, author, cuisine writer, photographer, and television personality who lives outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, on a working ranch. She was ranked No. 22 on Forbes’ Top 25 Web Celebrities list in February 2010. 

Drummond’s blog, The Pioneer Woman, which chronicles her life as a ranch wife and mother, was chosen Weblog of the Year at the Annual Weblog Awards in 2009, 2010, and 2011. (The Bloggies). 

Ree began blogging in May 2006, using Typepad and the subdomain pioneerwoman.typepad.com. On October 18, 2006, she registered her own domain, thepioneerwoman.com. Drummond’s blog, which was formerly known as Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, has been renamed The Pioneer Woman. The latter is presently the title of a website section. Drummond writes about ranch life and homeschooling, among other things. She published her first dish and lesson on “How to Cook a Steak” around a year after starting her blog. The video was backed by 20 images that explained the cooking procedure in “ridiculous detail.
