Mario Batali Biography and Wiki

Mario Batali is an American Chef, restaurateur, and writer. He co-owned restaurants in Las Vegas; New York City; Boston; Singapore; New Haven, Westport, Connecticut; Los Angeles, and Newport Beach, California. He has also appeared on shows on Food Net Work such as Iron Chef America and Molto Mario. 

Batali began working as a cook at the pub/restaurant Stuff Yer Face while still a student at Rutgers University. He was a sous chef for the then Four Seasons Clift Hotel San Francisco and later the Four Seasons Biltmore. Batali together with Lidia Bastianich and Joe Bastianich formed Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group also known as the B&B Hospitality Group.

The trio co-owned thirty restaurants in various countries, including Osteria Mozza in Singapore; the Pizzeria eateries in Los Angeles, Carnevino in Las Vegas; Babbo (1 Michelin star) and Del Posto in New York.

In March 2019, Batali sold all his restaurant holdings and his minority ownership in Eataly, an Italian food marketplace. The Bastianiches said their restaurants will change their logo after the exit of Batali.
