Laura Cavanaugh is an American news journalist currently working for CBS 8 News as the Host and Executive Producer of the program San Diego Living. It is a lifestyle show that celebrates all the people, places,  products and businesses, that help make San Diego America’s Finest City.

Cavanaugh began her journalism career at KOB 4 as a Special Projects Producer and On-Air Talent in 1999 December. She then joined NBC News and later ABC News where she worked as the Field Producer, News Associate.

In 2007 June, Laura joined KOBI TV NBC5 as the Morning Show Anchor and Producer. She was the Primetime Anchor and Reporter for California Oregon Broadcasting, Inc./ NBC 5/FOX 26 from June 2010 to June 2013. She later joined CW6 – Bay City Television as an Anchor and Reporter.

In June 2018, Cavanaugh joined KFMB CBS 8 in San Diego as Host and Executive Producer of the show San Diego Living. She has also hosted “Wake Up San Diego” and “CW6 News in the Morning”. Her guest list includes politicians, musicians, actors, governors, police and fire chiefs, restauranteurs, and chefs among others.
