Eric Theiss is a well-known American chef, cookbook author, TV personality, and restaurant owner. Theiss wrote ten cookbooks that revolve around products he has represented on HSN, QVC, as well as other television and online shopping networks.

Meritage, Theiss’s own bar and restaurant, launched in 2006. It was in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and it specialized in fresh meals with wine pairings. It debuted to rave acclaim from the state’s top cuisine reviewers. Meritage closed in 2015 when Theiss ceded ownership to Michele DiPietro and Irene Landy.

While Thiess founded LiveVision in 1999, it wasn’t until after Meritage that he completely focused on the firm. In the early 2000s, he did a few infomercials before becoming a presenter for shows like As Seen on TV and the QVC network.

He went on QVC to advertise this stuff and even published a couple of cookbooks about it. However, many consumers, note that the product itself produces subpar quality food, and is not worth it.
