Eric Philips is an American journalist working for ABC 8News WRIC as a news anchor. He previously worked for The Christian Broadcasting Network as a White House Correspondent. He has also worked at NBC 12 as an anchor and reporter.
Philips began his journalism career in April 2005 working as a reporter and fill-in anchor. He then joined WSOC-TV Eyewitness News in 2013 as a weekend news anchor. In November 2015, Philips worked for NBC12 WWBT as a reporter and anchor for NBC12 News.
He left NBC12 in December 2018 and joined The Christian Broadcasting Network. While there, he worked as a National Security Correspondent and later became a White House Correspondent. He also worked for five years at CNN as a correspondent. From August 2021, he works as a news anchor for ABC 8NEWS WRIC in Richmond, Virginia.
