Dan Ashley Biography and Wiki
Dan Ashley is an American journalist, reporter, news anchor, singer, and songwriter who currently works at ABC7 as a reporter. Ashley has his own Country band which consists of renowned touring musicians.
He joined ABC7 in 1995 as a weekday news anchor and investigative reporter at 5:00 p.m. He was promoted to anchor of the 6:00 and 11:00 newscasts in addition to the 5:00 newscast a year later, in 1996 replacing Richard Brown.
Ashley was given an inside glimpse inside the White House in February 2013 when there for a one-on-one interview with President Barack Obama. Ashley has also conducted interviews with George W. Bush, General Colin Powell, Rob Reiner, Tom Brokaw, Rahm Emanuel, and Ben Carson, among others.
Dan has been the lead male news anchor at ABC7 in San Francisco for the longest time. Ashley was the last broadcaster to remain on the air when Hurricane Hugo hit Charleston, South Carolina in 1989. He covered the March of the Living with Bay Area holocaust survivors in Poland in 2005.
