Devlin joined CBS46 News as a Breaking News Anchor and General Assignment Reporter in July of 2021. He worked as a General Assignment Reporter for WYFF News 4, an NBC affiliate in Greenville, South Carolina, for two years before joining WGCL.

During his time with WYFF, he covered a variety of stories, including the fight to reduce violent crime rates in Anderson County, the death of James “Radio” Kennedy, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on African Americans in South Carolina, Joe Biden’s campaign trail through the Upstate, the aftermath of the 2016 Townville Elementary School fatal shooting, and the impact of George Floyd’s death on the AME Church.

He was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his coverage of the EF3 tornado that ravaged the small town of Seneca in South Carolina. He covered the city’s rising homeless rates as well as the introduction of congestion pricing in Manhattan while in New York.

Upon graduation in May 2019, he received the DuPont/Judy F. Crichton Award for Video Journalism from Columbia University for his story on the lack of accessibility in the city’s public transportation. He is a proud Gamecock alum, having graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in May of 2018.
