Susanna Reid Biography

Susanna Reid is a British journalist and television presenter. She co-hosted BBC Breakfast with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt from 2003 to 2014. She came in second place on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.

She began her career at BBC Radio Bristol before moving on to become a reporter and producer for Radio 5 Live. She then worked as a reporter for BBC News 24 for two years. Reid was a regular on BBC Breakfast, co-hosting with Bill Turnbull on weekdays and previously with Charlie Stayt on weekends.

She has been in that position since 2012 when she took over for lead presenter Sian Williams. Reid left his position as host of Breakfast to host Sunday Morning Live in 2010. Within two weeks, she was back on BBC Breakfast as a weekend presenter.

Reid’s move to ITV to front rival breakfast show Good Morning Britain, which replaced the BBC’s former breakfast show Daybreak, was announced on March 3, 2014. Every Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., she co-hosts the show with Ben Shephard.

Together with Matt Tebbutt, Reid co-hosted Save Money: Good Food in 2017. Reid had a brief guest appearance on Hollyoaks in October 2018. Reid made an appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox in July 2020, where she was joined by TV judge and attorney Robert Rinder.

Reid conducted a live interview with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Good Morning Britain on May 3, 2022. Reid made an appearance in Sky Arts’ “Portrait Artist of the Year” in 2023 as a Sitter.
