Sarah Jeong is an American journalist working and lawyer for the New York Times as an editorial writer. She previous;y worked for The Verge as a senior writer. She specializes in information technology law and other technology-related topics.

Jeong began her career in journalism as a Contributing Editor for Motherboard/VICE Media. She then joined The Verge in July 2017 as a senior writer. She also wrote articles for The Guardian, The New York Times and Forbes.

In 2018, she joined The New York Times as an editorial writter on technology and join the editorial board. This move caused a debate online as people highlighted derogatory tweets about white people that she  had posted mostly in 2013 and 2014. She released an apology and said that the tweets were meant to satirize online harassment toward her as an Asian.
