Jackie MacMullan is an American freelance newspaper sportswriter and NBA columnist. She writes for the ESPN sports website ESPN.com. She announced that she will retire on August 31st, 2021.
MacMullan began her career as a journalist at the Boston Globe as a news department intern. She took the role of a columnist and associate editor until March 2008. She also worked for Sports Illustrated as a senior writer covering the NBA. Jackie has also appeared in other television networks as a correspondent such as CNNSI, WHDH-TV, NESN, and ESPN.
She was a co-host of Pardon the Interruption and became a regular panelist for Around the Horn on ESPN. She was awarded the PEN/ESPN Lifetime Achievement Award for Literary Sports Writing in February 2019. MacMullan has also appeared on various podcasts including the Ringer covering the NBA.
