Russell Jones is an American news journalist currently working for WBRC as the weekend morning news anchor and reporter. He initially worked at KOCO 5 News as a fill-in anchor and morning reporter. 

Jones began his career at ABC 33/40 as a news reporter intern in Birmingham, Alabama. He then joined WVUA 23 six months later. He was the television news reporter until August 2014 when he joined WMBB News 13. At WMBB, Russell worked as the news anchor and reporter.

In August 2016, Russell joined KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma as a morning news reporter and anchor. He was the morning news anchor and reporter for WBRC FOX 6 News from July 2018. He anchors weekend mornings and reports for Good Day Alabama during the weekdays.
