Mark Consuelos is an American actor best known for starring as Mateo Santos on the ABC soap opera All My Children from 1995 to 2001 and 2010. He is also known for portraying Hiram Lodge on The CW drama Riverdale. His breakthrough came when he landed the role of  Mateo Santos on the soap opera All My Children.

Mark achieved his breakthrough in February 1995, landing the role of Mateo Santos in the popular soap opera All My Children. Little did he know that his on-screen chemistry with co-star Kelly Ripa would spark a secret Las Vegas wedding in May 1996. Mark Harmon, a close confidant, was one of the few aware of Ripa and Consuelos’ off-screen romance, which later led to their marriage.

In 2013, Consuelos ventured into the political comedy realm by co-starring in Amazon’s Alpha House as Florida Senator Andy Guzman. The series, created by Garry Trudeau, offers a humorous take on the lives of four Republican senators sharing a residence on Capitol Hill, and Consuelos was right in the midst of the comedic chaos.
