Kari Jobe Biography
Kari Jobe is an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. She has won two Grammy Award nominations and ten Dove Award nominations, six of which she has won, since the release of her debut album in 2009.
On February 10, 2009, Jobe released her self-titled debut album. The album peaked at No. 67 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Christian music chart. Le Canto, a Spanish-language version of the album, was released. Jobe had already released a compilation album, Kari Jobe, a live concert album, Throneroom Worship: Live Acoustic Worship, and a Christmas album, Bethlehem, prior to the launch of Kari Jobe.
On January 24, 2012, Jobe released her second studio album, Where I Find You. In addition, the album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Kari released her second album, Where I Find You, in Spanish as Donde Te Encuentro on January 24, 2012. The album debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums list and No. 19 on the Top Latin Albums chart.
In 2012, Jobe won her first Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Album for Where I Find You. Jobe, Sheila Walsh, and author Lisa Harper competed in season two of GSN’s The American Bible Challenge in May 2013. Their chosen charity was The A21 Campaign, an anti-trafficking group dedicated to the abolishment of slavery.
Jobe announced the release of a live worship CD recorded at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, Texas on November 20 and 21, 2013. Majestic was published on March 25, 2014, and its first single, “Forever,” was released on February 18. On September 25, 2015, Majestic Revisited was released. Songs from Majestic were rerecorded in the studio and in a new way for this album.
