Hannah Storm Biography

Hannah Storm is an American sports journalist working with SportsCenter Face to Face on ESPN as an anchor. She also hosted ABC’s NBA Countdown pregame show and was the play-by-play announcer during Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video.

Storm began her journalism career in 1989 working at CNN as a host of CNN Sports Tonight. She then joined NBC Sports where she hosted NBC’s premier sports events, such as the “NBA on NBC” and four Olympics. In 2002, she joined CBS Corporation as a host.

She hosted The Easy Show where she covered several important national and international events such as the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, Super Bowls XLI and XXXVIII, and the 2004 U.S. presidential election. Hannah also hosted the CBS coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and  48 Hours.

In 2018, Hannah joined Amazon as a Commentator and analyst. She provided commentary and analysis for Amazon’s live-streaming coverage of Thursday Night Football alongside  Andrea Kremer on Prime Video.

In 2008, Hannah joined ESPN where she has worked in different departments ever since. She hosted the weekday edition of SportsCenter, SportsCenter Sunday Morning during the NFL season, Focus with Hannah Storm,  the U.S. Open,  the New York Marathon, the NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship, and the  Veteran’s Day, the Super Bowl.

She was born and raised in the United States by her parents Mike Storen and Hannah G. Storen. Her mother works as a real estate broker while her father is a sports executive in baseball, basketball, and football.

Hannah was the general manager of the Indiana Pacers, Kentucky Colonels, and Memphis Sounds franchises. He was also the president of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.

Her father died in May 2020 at 84 years old due to cancer. Storm was raised alongside her two siblings Mark and Duke. She also has two stepsisters from her father’s second marriage to Lynn. Storm graduated from the University of Notre Dame with bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science.
