Gurvir Dhindsa is an Indian-American journalist, anchor, and reporter working as the Morning News anchor on weekdays from 4:30 – 7 a.m. at CBS46. Before joining CBS46, she worked for Washington DC, and Atlanta as their morning news anchor.
She started off her journalism career in 1997 as a news anchor for Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta. She worked there until 2000 when she relocated to Washington, D.C., where she worked for a variety of stations until 2011. She got her first job after graduation in her hometown of Nashville, before moving on to Mississippi, Atlanta, and Washington, DC.
In January 2000, she began working for WUSA-TV, Channel 9. She lost her job a few years later, on the same day that Cutter, their Australian shepherd dog, died. In 2011, she returned to Good Day Atlanta as a replacement for Suchita Vadlamani, who had left to raise her child.
Dhindsa started working for CBS46 in October 2017. She enjoys waking up with Atlanta in the mornings, but she is even more excited to get out in the community and share the “good news” stories that make our community so unique.
