In December 1989, Steve was promoted to Chief Meteorologist at NEWS10. Prior to joining WTEN, he held the position of chief meteorologist at both WABI-TV in Bangor, ME, and WWLP-TV in Springfield, MA. Over the years, he has also worked for dozens of radio stations in New York and New England. Since he was nine years old, he has been fascinated by the weather.
Being paid to forecast and report on the weather is a dream come true for him. It’s been a lifelong passion that has now turned into a career for him. He is very involved in the community, having visited over 1500 schools, civic groups, and senior centers in the last 29 years.
