Fred Kalil Biography and Wiki

Fred Kalil is an American journalist working for CBS 46 as a sports director. Before joining CBS 46, Kalil worked for WXIA as a sports anchor and WXIA-TV as a sports anchor. 

He joined the station in March 2015. He began his career at KTSP-TV in Phoenix, Arizona as a sports anchor in 1989.

He then joined WISH-TV in 1992 where he worked as a sports director and anchor. He then joined WXIA-TV in July 1992 where he worked as a sports anchor. He worked there for 22 years before moving to WGCL/CBS 46.

During his time there, he won 12 Southeastern Regional Emmy Awards, six of which were for Best Sportscaster. He was also the recipient of seven Gabby Awards and two Associated Press (AP) Sportscaster of the Year honors.
