Digga D Biography

Digga D is a British rapper. He rose to prominence as a member of the UK drill collective 1011, which was later renamed CGM. He is regarded as one of the founders of the UK drill scene.

Digga and his friends came together in 2015 to form the drill group known as 1011, originating from the postal codes W10 and W11. The group consists of members Digga, Horrid1, Isaac Marshall, and Jordan Bedeau. Over the years 2016-17, they released a series of singles, including “Kill Confirmed,” “Play for the Pagans,” and “No Hook.”

Things took a legal turn in 2017 when Digga and several 1011 members were apprehended while in possession of machetes and baseball bats during a stop and search. While the group claimed they were filming a drill music video, authorities alleged they were planning an attack on rival gang, 12World.

Subsequently, in 2018, Digga and 1011 were convicted of conspiracy to commit violent disturbance, resulting in a one-year prison sentence and a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

In July 2020, Digga released “Woi,” a track that garnered worldwide acclaim. The song earned a “Song of the Year” nomination at the MOBO Awards and topped Complex’s list of the best songs in 2020.

Following this success, Digga released “Chingy (It’s Whatever)” in October 2020. A documentary titled “Defending Digga” premiered on BBC iPlayer on November 24th, later airing on BBC One on November 27th. On December 4th, he released “Daily Duppy” on GRM Daily.

In the early months of 2022, Digga featured in two tracks: “Bine” with Horrid1 and Sav’O, and “Went Jail” with Groundworks and Unknown T. He further dropped “Pump 101” in collaboration with StillBrickin on January 20th.
