Coco Jones is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame after starring in the Disney Channel film Let It Shine, and she was a regular on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing from 2010 to 2011.
Jones appeared as a guest star on the Disney Channel’s So Random! in 2011. She was selected to perform live on the Maury Povich Show episode “The Most Talented Kids” in 2009. She finished second in season 3 of Radio Disney’s The Next Big Thing singing competition in 2010. Soon after, she released her debut album, Coco Jones, and embarked on an anti-bullying concert tour called UBU-Stop the Bullying.
She starred as Roxie in the television Disney film Let It Shine in June 2012. In 2012, the film was the most streamed Disney Channel Original Movie and the most watched movie for kids and tweens. She signed a record deal with Hollywood Records and began co-writing and recording all-new original music with Grammy-nominated producer Rob Galbraith.
Jones and Mindless Behavior performed at Radio Disney’s Radio Disney Music Awards, where they won an award for “Funniest Celebrity Take.” Jones worked in the studio with David Banner, Ester Dean, and Jukebox after the release of her EP, with plans to release her debut album by August.
