Charles Osgood Biography and Wiki
Charles Osgood is an American writer and retired radio and television commentator. He hosted CBS News Sunday Morning for over 22 years from April 10, 1994, until September 25, 2016.
Osgood joined CBS in 1971. He had been a reporter and anchor for every broadcast on CBS since he joined the network. He anchored “Sunday Morning” which was previously hosted by Charles Kuralt in 1994.
His refreshing, almost folksy approach to the news (and trademark bow ties) made him a household name for the show. The success of the show has made the program win three daytime Emmys for the outstanding morning program.
In 2008, he was the narrator of the animated film “Horton Hears a Who!” CBS News President David Rhodes described him in a statement as;
