Barbara-Lee began her career at an AM radio station in Vancouver. She joined the Global Television station in Vancouver and later the Global affiliate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as an anchor and producer. Edwards then joined CBS 8 in 2015 initially as an anchor and reporter.
Barbara-Lee now works as the evening anchor for KFMB-TV, CBS 8 as the anchor of the 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts every weeknight. She is also a health reporter and the host of CBS News 8’s Pet Friends and the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA Telethon for the Animals.
