Trivia
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada way back in 1967. Ashley always had a nose for news, you know? Won an Emmy early on doing her thing at a Dallas station, KDFW-TV. That caught the eye of MSNBC, those folks were all about being the cool news channel for young people, and Ashleigh fit the bill perfectly.
She did a whole bunch of stuff there, like digging into stories for “MSNBC Investigates,” working with the bigger NBC News team, and even co-hosting “HomePage” with Gina Gaston and Mika Brzezinski. But things got a little bumpy when the Iraq War was going on. Ashleigh gave a speech at this Landon Lecture Series thing in 2003, and let me tell you, she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.
She blasted some of these cable news channels, you know the ones who wave the American flag like crazy and target a specific audience (wink wink Fox News), for their coverage. The bigwigs at NBC, who controlled MSNBC, weren’t too happy about it. They got mad at Ashleigh and kind of pushed her aside. Not cool, right?

Personal Life
Now, about her personal life. Ashleigh keeps that a bit more private. We know she went to fancy schools in Canada and got a degree in political science, but she hasn’t said much about her family or siblings. She’s currently married to Chris Haynor, but they haven’t revealed if they have any kids together.
Before Chris, she was married to Howard Gould and they had two sons together. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and they got divorced. There’s also some info out there that says she lives at this address in Connecticut and might be a Democrat, but that’s just based on some listings.
