Before joining WAVY-TV and FOX43, Anita worked for KOCO TV as a morning anchor and reporter. She began her career at KTXS TV in 2015 as a reporter and later joined KWTX-TV in 2006 as a reporter. For the next two years, Anita worked at WRIC TV as a news anchor and reporter.

In her career, she has covered the severe weather in Texas, President George W. Bush, the tragic shootings at Virginia Tech University, and the Oklahoma City Bombing on that tragic event’s anniversary for three years.
