Hockert started off her career as a news anchor at KARE TV in 2001 and worked there until 2008. She took a sabbatical from active media and rejoined BringMeTheNews in May 2013. As Chief Content Officer of BMTN, she would be in charge of all editorials for BringMeTheNews.com, its radio network, and other social media channels. In January 2015, Hockert joined KMSP FOX 9 as a news anchor and special projects reporter.
