Steve Hartman is an American broadcast journalist, reporter, and news anchor who currently works at CBS News as a reporter. Prior to working at CBS, He worked at KCBS-TV as a feature reporter from 1994 to 1998. He has worked at CBS from 1998 to date.

Hartman joined CBS News as a full-time journalist in 1998, and he was an essayist on 60 Minutes II from 2002 until the show was terminated in September 2005. Previously, he worked as a feature reporter for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles from 1994 to 1998, and aired a series called “The Stevening News.” Hartman has worked as a correspondent for two CBS News publications: Coast to Coast and Public Eye with Bryant Gumbel.

He worked as an intern and general assignment reporter for WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, from 1984 until 1987. He worked as a feature reporter for KSTP in Minneapolis from 1987 to 1991, and then for WABC-TV in New York City from 1991 to 1994.
