Stephanie Ready is an American broadcaster working for Turner Sports as an analyst and sideline reporter for NBA on TNT. She was previously a sideline reporter for Charlotte Hornets. of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before becoming a sportscaster, Ready was a basketball assistant coach for Coppin State’s men’s basketball team.
Ready began her coaching career with the Coppin State women’s volleyball team. She was one of the country’s youngest Division I volleyball coaches at the time. Coach Ron “Fang” Mitchell then requested her to coach Coppin State’s men’s basketball team, to which she consented. She became only the third woman in Division I men’s basketball coaching history.
She left in 2001 and worked as a sideline reporter for the Bobcats from 2004 to 2005. She also covered the Women’s Final Four of college basketball on ESPN2 throughout the first and second rounds. She also served as a sideline reporter and host for the Hornets on Fox Sports Carolinas for numerous years. Ready joined Turner Sports as a sideline reporter in 2018.
