Simu Liu Biography and Wiki

A Harbin, China native, Simu Liu is an actor and professional stuntman known for his role as Shang Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. She is also a graduate of the University of Toronto Schools and the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School.

Liu began his career as an accountant at Deloitte, but he became unsatisfied with his job and was finally let off. He proceeded to look into other employment alternatives and eventually decided to become an actor and stuntman.

He began his career as an extra and stuntman in films and music videos such as Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim and Avicii’s I Could Be The One. Nikita (2012) and Beauty and the Beast (2012) are among his other early film credits (2014). He worked as a stuntman in the 2012 film Sick: Survive the Night and the TV miniseries Heroes Reborn.

Liu had his first important recurring role in 2015 when he appeared as a series regular in seven episodes of the Omni Television criminal thriller series Blood and Water (2015–2016). Later that year, he received his first award nominations for this performance at the ACTRA Awards and the Canadian Screen Awards.
