Samantha Armytage Biography
Samantha Armytage is a well-known Australian news journalist and presenter famous for her work as the co-host of “Sunrise” a breakfast TV program on Seven Net Work in Australia together with fellow host David Koch.
Samantha kicked off her journalism career back in 1999 where she worked for WIN TV based in Caberra as a news reporter. She later joined Sky News Australia as a chief political reporter in the year 2002.
After being discovered by network executives while reporting the 2003 Canberra Bushfires, Armytage joined the Seven Network in 2003. Her first significant presenting position came in December 2004, when she filled in as a presenter on Seven News Sydney during the summer ratings lull.
She frequently stepped in as Chris Bath’s replacement as a presenter on Seven News Sydney during the years 2005 and 2006. Samantha took over for Mike Amor as the host of Seven 4.30 News in October 2006. When the network transferred the production from Melbourne to Sydney, she took Rebecca Maddern’s place as the presenter.
She launched the makeover reality program Bringing Sexy Back in 2014, however, it was canceled after one season owing to poor viewership. Armytage will take part in Seven’s race day coverage and make an appearance as a special guest on the reality series The Farmer Wants a Wife when it returns in 2022, the Seven Network said in October 2021.
The Seven Network announced in February 2023 that Armytage will host the upcoming season of The Farmer Wants a Wife.
