In 2005, Patina , alongside Capathia Jenkins and Jennifer Hudson, auditioned for the role of Effie White in the musical drama Dreamgirls. Her career took a significant turn when she landed the role of Pam Henderson in the soap opera All My Children, appearing in 30 episodes in 2007.

During the summer of 2008, Miller graced Central Park with her presence in a production of Hair, and later that fall, she showcased her talents in the musical Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

After a year-long search, Patina Miller secured the main role of Delores Van Cartier in Sister Act. The London production premiered in 2009, earning mixed reviews, with critics praising Miller’s outstanding performance and powerful vocals.
