Nina Pineda Biography
Nina Pineda is an American journalist working for WABC-TV as a reporter. Before joining WABC-TV, Pineda worked for WTAE-TV as a reporter.
She has covered some of her generation’s most significant events and is also the face of WABC-“7 TV’s On Your Side.” Pineda and her Channel 7 staff have been aiding victims of Superstorm Sandy for the past four years.
Her stories from underneath the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001, led her and her colleagues at ABC News and WABC to win the coveted Peabody Award for Excellence in Journalism.
Nina is involved in the Tri-State charity community and participates in fundraisers for many Asian American and Women’s groups, including the Women’s Rights and Information Centre, where she serves on the Board of Trustees, and the New York Asian Women’s Centre.
