Natarsha Belling Wikipedia
Prior to joining Network 10, Belling was a reporter with Prime Television in Orange, New South Wales, and was a presenter with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Darwin. She then joined 10, originally as a medical reporter.
In 2007, Belling took over as national host of 10 Morning News, succeeding Tracey Spicer. On Wednesdays through Fridays, she read the news. Belling delivered the briefing from Monday through Wednesday from May 2009 until 2012. Belling also filled in as a co-host on Ten’s former morning show 9am with David and Kim for Kim Watkins.
Belling also succeeded Bill Woods on 10 Weekend News when he returned from maternity leave in May 2009. Matt Doran, former Sports Tonight weekend presenter Rob Canning, and meteorologist Magdalena Roze joined Belling on a new edition of 10 News Weekend in October 2011.
10 Weekend News was reverted to a single delivered broadcast in late 2012, with Belling in the role. Canning resigned from the network after 12 years, and Roze followed suit. Hermione Kitson took over 10 Weekend News in mid-2013, after Belling was appointed to co-host the new Wake Up breakfast show.
Wake Up was canceled in mid-2014, and Belling went on leave. She was not granted a permanent position again for some time, stepping in and having other guest parts. In 2015, Belling returned to 10 Weekend News. Her last 10 Weekend News broadcast was on December 16, 2018.
In 2010, Belling headlined the newest news on The Circle with quick news updates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Belling was named Thursday and Friday news presenter on Breakfast in July 2012, however the show was discontinued in December 2012 owing to low ratings.
Belling was named co-host of Network 10’s new breakfast show Wake Up alongside Natasha Exelby and James Mathison in July 2013. By November 2013, the programme had lost approximately half of its audience share and was rated worse than Breakfast, which Ten had discontinued the year before due to low ratings.
Belling filled in for Sarah Harris on Studio 10 and Carrie Bickmore on The Project on a regular basis. She also hosted The Sunday Project for a brief time until being replaced by Chris Bath.
Belling’s main Studio 10 fill-in appearances were when presenter Sarah Harris left to marry her fiancé, lead a local episode of Shark Tank Australia, and give birth to her kids in 2015 and 2017.
Belling was named as a news presenter for Studio 10 in December 2018. She has been in this position since the beginning of 2019, and when Sarah Harris is not there, Belling hosts the show for the day. Joe Hildebrand, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, Angela Bishop, and Denise Drysdale are also on the panel.
Belling was laid off by Network 10 in August 2020, capping off an almost two-decade career with the network. Other Ten News presenters that were let go were Tim Bailey, Rebecca Morse, and Kerri-Anne Kennerley.
