Natalie Grant is an American singer and songwriter of contemporary Christian music. She won the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years, from 2006 – 2009 and again in 2012.

Grant started her career in contemporary Christian music after auditioning for the touring music group Truth. She later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a solo career. In 1997, she signed with Benson Records and began production on her self-titled first album, which was released in 1999.

Soon after, she left Benson for Pamplin Music and released the album Stronger in 2001. After Pamplin went bankrupt, she ended up with Curb Records, where she has released five solo albums as of 2012, starting with Deeper Life in 2003.

In 2005, she had her breakout triumph with Awaken and published a book titled The Real Me.  In 2008, she joined Bebo Norman and Jeremy Camp on the Speaking Louder Than Before tour. Crystal Aikin’s self-titled debut album featured the song “Breathe On Me.”
