Mia Gradney is an award-winning American news journalist currently working as an evening news anchor and reporter at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. Mia has covered major stories including, the 138 hours of Hurricane Harvey, the 2017 MLB Championship as well as the 2019 Houston Mayoral Debate.

Mia is a dedicated journalist with a passion for delivering breaking news and covering special events. Her focus extends to women’s empowerment, job preparedness, health and wellness, and sports entertainment.

During Hurricane Harvey, despite facing floods and evacuation at KHOU 11’s facility, Mia fearlessly guided Houstonians through one of the nation’s most devastating natural disasters. Her exceptional coverage during this crisis earned her an Edward R. Murrow Award, recognizing her outstanding work in reporting breaking news.

Mia’s commitment to sports reporting took her to Los Angeles for Game 6 of the 2017 World Series, where she covered her local Houston Astros’ remarkable journey to become World Champions. Additionally, she field-anchored two Houston Super Bowls live from NRG Stadium: Super Bowl XXXVII and Super Bowl LI.
