Melissa Womer is an American actress and film producer. She is best known for starring as a comedy store waitress in the movie Man on the Moon. She became popular for being the wife of Jim Carrey, a famous comedian, but they later divorced.
During her university years, Womer worked odd jobs such as writing jokes for a morning radio show in Kansas City. She moved to Hollywood after graduation and worked as a cocktail waitress at a comedy store on Sunset Boulevard.
Womer was soon given the opportunity to perform at the store’s open mic night. She quickly became one of the store’s most popular characters. She eventually got the chance to act in films. ‘Petrocelli,’ her first feature film, was released in 1974.
Following that, she starred in the film ‘Man on the Moon.’ She has also produced several reality television shows, including ‘The Yesterday Show with John Kerwin’ and ‘Real Stories of Donut Men.’
