Maia Belay is an American reporter working at Fox 8 News. She initially worked at WTOL in Toledo, Ohio as a multi-media journalist.
Belay began her career at WDIV-TV as a newsroom intern in Michigan. She later joined WTOL-TV in Ohio where she was also the newsroom intern. In 2010, she joined WBGU-PBS where she worked as a reporter. Belay is now a Fox 8 reporter. She joined the team in August 2016
Belay joined WTOL-TV in May 2011 as a multimedia journalist. She was the live morning reporter for WTOL and Fox Toledo Daybreak from 4:30 am to 10 am. She later transitioned to the assignment editor and web producer in August 2011. While at WTOL, she covered the tragic death of two on duty Toledo firefighters killed in an arson.
