An American native, Jen Wahl is a journalist, meteorologist, and traffic anchor known for working for 12 News. She is married to her husband Brian with whom she has three children. She is also a graduate of Arizona State University.

Wahl works for 12News as a reporter, meteorologist, and traffic anchor. In February 2016, Jen began working at 12News. She previously held the positions of reporter and meteorologist at KSNV, the NBC Las Vegas station. She previously had positions as a reporter and weather anchor at the NBC affiliate in Reno, Nevada’s KRNV, as well as the CBS affiliate in Boise, Idaho, KBOI.

Jen, who was born and raised in Arizona, attended Mesquite High School in Gilbert where she was raised. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU. She also graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in meteorology.

Jen has covered a variety of topics over the years, including wildfires blazing across Arizona and Nevada as well as immigration and drug smuggling stories along the Arizona-Mexico border. For her reporting and producing work on a documentary about border and immigration difficulties in South Africa, she was also honored with an Emmy Award.
