Jeff Cox is a well-known American journalist and author based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey who was born in Pennsylvania. He serves as a finance editor for CNBC.com where he manages coverage of the financial markets as well as Wall Street.

Cox co-wrote the 2011 book Debt, Deficits, and the Decline of the American Economy with Peter Tanous. Before joining CNBC in 2007, Cox worked at CNN Money, where he wrote a series of analyses that were the first to link rising ethanol demand to rising supermarket prices.
