Erin Carroll is an American journalist and a public speaker. She works as a meteorologist at Spectrum News 1 in Columbus, Ohio. Carroll joined the station in September 2018.
Carroll began her career in the news as a morning editor for Ohio News Network. In 1998, she became ONN’s first Cleveland bureau correspondent. She spent two winters in North Carolina as a reporter for WLFL in Raleigh, N.C., after moving from Cleveland. Carroll and her husband moved back to Akron in 2003 after missing the Ohio winters so much.
She began reporting statewide weather for ONN in 2004 after graduating from Mississippi State’s Broadcast Meteorology Program. Until August 2015, she worked as a freelance weather and traffic anchor at WBNS in Columbus. WSYX, also in Columbus, hired her as the weekend evening meteorologist until 2017.
