Elizabeth Cohen is an American health journalist as well as a author. Cohen is a senior medical journalist for CNN and CNN.com. She has covered the COVID-19 Pandemic, child mortality at the border, the anti-vaccination movement, and other health concerns while working for CNN.
Cohen began working for CNN in 1991 as a health awareness reporter. She currently serves as CNN’s Health, Medical, and Wellness unit’s senior medical reporter. In 2014, Cohen visited Liberia while working for CNN to cover the Ebola outbreak. She also helped with the follow-up reporting on the 2011 earthquake survivors who were moved.
Additionally, she reported from the scene of the deadly Haitian earthquake in January 2010 and the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. In addition, Cohen’s investigation featured a whistleblower exclusive with a fisherman’s wife who exposed the health issues facing former fishermen who are now employed by BP as cleanup employees.

Before joining CNN, Cohen worked as a reporter for The Times Union newspaper in Albany, New York, where she won a Hearst Award, and as an associate producer of Green Watch, an environmental television program on WLVI in Boston.
