Dana Carvey is an American stand-up comedian, impressionist, actor, screenwriter as well as producer. He is well known for his appearance from 1986 until 1993, as a cast member on Saturday Night Live for seven seasons, earning him five Primetime Emmy Award nominations in a row.
He appeared in a minor role in Halloween II in 1981 and co-starred in One of the Boys, a short-lived television sitcom starring Mickey Rooney, Nathan Lane, and Meg Ryan, in 1982. He appeared as a mime in Rob Reiner’s film This Is Spinal Tap in 1984, alongside fellow comedian Billy Crystal.
