Cassie Jaye is an American film director. She is well known for directing the 2016 documentary film The Red Pill about the men’s rights movement. She formed Jaye Bird Productions, a film production company, in 2008.
Jaye directed and produced the 2010 documentary film Daddy I Do, which looks at sex education and sexual abstinence programs in the United States. Daddy, I Do include interviews with Denny Pattyn, the inventor of the Silver Ring Thing, feminist writer Amanda Marcotte, and Douglas Kirby.
The film also includes personal experiences from women who have experienced adolescent pregnancy, single parenthood, abortion, and sexual abuse.
In 2012, Jaye directed and produced The Right to Love: An American Family, her second major documentary film. The video follows a family known on YouTube as “Gay Family Values” in the aftermath of California Proposition 8. (2008).
The film premiered at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, California, in February 2012, with guest speaker Zach Wahls. The picture was later shown at the Frameline Film Festival.
