Carey Hart Biography

Carey Hart is an American former professional freestyle motocross competitor, motorcycle racer, and current off-road truck racer from the United States. He is widely known as the husband of musician Pink.

Hart began competing in the AMA Supercross circuit at the age of 18 and became a professional motorcyclist. In 1998–99, Hart was the first rider to publicly perform the BMX trick “Superman seat grab” at IFMA events. At the 1999 Gravity Games in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the first to perform the “invert Superman” seat grab.

The “Hart Attack” is the name given to this trick. Hart won a bronze medal at the Summer Gravity Games and a gold medal at the Australian X Games in 1999. At the 2002 X-Games in Philadelphia, Hart finished second in the best trick competition with a backflip, trailing Mike Metzger, who landed a no-footed backflip.

Hart hosted ABC’s Live’s X Games FMX coverage in 2005 and was a cast member on the fifth season of VH1’s reality show The Surreal Life. Throughout his career, Hart has appeared in national ad campaigns for Ford, and Mountain Dew, as well as in print publications such as Paper Magazine,  ESPN The Magazine, and Skinnie, and on the covers of numerous motocross and tattoo magazines.
