Ben Bradley is an American journalist working as an investigative reporter at WGN since joining Chicago’s Very Own WGN Investigates team in January 2017. He currently co-anchors the WGN Evening News from 4-5 pm alongside Lourdes Duarte. He was previously working at WLS-TV in Chicago as a reporter and morning anchor.
Ben began his career as a weather anchor and reporter at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri in 1994. He then went to work as a news reporter and weekday morning weather anchor for WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC. He worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for Tribune-owned CLTV from 1998 to 2002.
His work has been recognized over the years earning him Five Emmy Awards for breaking news coverage and two Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Awards for investigative reporting and a documentary on former Mayor Richard M. Daley’s legacy.
Bradley is also a member of the Investigative Reporters & Editors Association and a former president of the Chicago Headline Club, the nation’s largest branch of the Society of Professional Journalists at the time.
