Alexandra Field Biography

Alexandra Field is a well-known American journalist, who currently works as a correspondent for CNN and CNN International, where she covers important breaking news events. Prior to working for CNN, Alexandra was a CNN affiliate at the stations WHDH in Boston, MA, WRGB in Albany, NY, and WWNY in Watertown, NY.

She was born and raised in the USA by her father Stephen Field and her mother Nikki Field. Nikki is the founder of the Field Team senior Global Real Estate Advisor, and an associate broker at Sotheby’s International Realty. She has one elder sister named Amanda Field Jordan who is an accomplished associate broker with the Field team. Her sister married Dr.Jonathan Jordan who is a cardiologist.

The two have two kids namely Elizabeth Jordan and Katherine Jordan. Field earned a  master’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications based at Syracuse Campus. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in both History and French.  from Hamilton College.

She started her career as a broadcaster with Sunbeam Television’s WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts. However, WHDH is known for its wide variety of syndicated programming and its exclusive rights to “Lottery Live,” which airs six evenings a week and features video games from the Massachusetts State Lottery. Additionally, the channel broadcasts tales for 12 hours each weekday and for 6 to 7 hours each day on the weekends.

She has been a correspondent for CNN International since she began her career in Beijing and Seoul. She covered the North Korean nuclear test while there. Additionally, Alexandra covered Barack Obama’s 2016 trip to Vietnam as president of the United States.

Prior to working in CNN’s New York Bureau, she covered the murder trial of former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez and the death penalty hearing for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Alexandra documented the demonstrations following the police-related deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown. She also detailed the massive search for two convicted murderers who had fled from an upstate New York maximum-security jail.

After receiving a number of honors, She was then hired to work as a CNN correspondent. It’s widely acknowledged that CNN is the only all-news television channel in the United States and the only channel to provide 24-hour information coverage. The station has a large number of affiliates and transmits globally as part of CNN International. Regarding her position, she is mostly based in Hong Kong’s Asia-Pacific headquarters.
