His 2009 triumph gave the JFR squad its 15th championship, while his 2017 title gave the team its 19th.

Hight has finished in the top ten points in each of his 13 competitive seasons. Hight was born and raised in Alturas, California, but currently resides in Yorba Linda. After years as a spectator, Hight finally joined a squad in 1995, working as a clutch expert for John Force Racing. He worked as a crew leader with John Force and Eric Medlen until 2005, when he was promoted to driver.
